What to do with leftover hot dogs

Crazy dinner. Inspired by Franks and Beans.

I had hot dogs I needed to use up. I was thinking Franks and Beans. But I didn't have any of the beans that a traditional Franks and Beans recipe called for. I only had black beans, garbanzo beans and black eyed peas. Found this recipe: http://www.yummly.com/recipe/Sizzling-Franks-With-Grilled-Corn-and-Black-Beans-Food_com-64614e

I didn't have all of those ingredients on hand, though.

I took out a saute pan and put it on high heat. I started cutting the 5 Applegate Farms organic all beef franks on the diagonal. I then put the cut up franks in the pan and let them brown a bit. I then put in half a bag of frozen tri color pepper strips and let that get cooked, letting the water evaporate. I then took 2 cans of drained and rinsed black beans and let the beans heat through. I added one Simply Lime packet, some cumin, cilantro and black pepper to taste. I then served the concoction in bowls. Super quick and easy. A great weeknight meal! My husband gives this thumbs up! He thought it was a very unique meal.

Anna's TexMex Franks and Beans

5 hot dogs (could use one whole package of 8, but I only had 5)
1/2 bag of frozen tri color pepper strips (if you used 8 hot dogs, use a whole bag)
2 cans of black beans, drained and rinsed
Cumin to taste
Cilantro to taste
Black pepper to taste
Lime juice (or Simply Lime packet(s)) to taste

Voila! EASY!
