Ground beef casserole a la Anna

Making a crazy recipe for dinner tonight! In my red oval Le Creuset Dutch oven, I sauteed some grassfed Angus ground beef with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and... cinnamon! I put the cooked meat in one layer in a casserole, reserving the liquid in the pot. I then added the mushrooms and homegrown fresh green peppers to the pot and added some salt and pepper to taste. I let the spices from the meat permeate the vegetables. I then put the veggie mixture on top of the beef in the casserole. Then I added the hash browns to the same pot adding salt and pepper to taste and put that on top of the veggies. I then added shredded sharp cheddar cheese... You could call this a one pot meal, though the meal is cooked in stages, in layers. It's now in the oven baking. I can't wait to dig in!

Layer 1:
1 lb grassfed Angus ground beef (Trader Joe's)
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Onion powder to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Ground cinnamon to taste

Layer 2:
16 oz frozen mushrooms (Trader Joe's)
6 small green peppers (fresh from the garden at Ash Lawn Highland)
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Layer 3:
20 oz hash browns (Trader Joe's)
Olive Oil
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Layer 4:
Shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Cook the layers as instructed above. Put in oven for 20 minutes or so until cheese is browned and bubbly.

I hope to attach a picture or two later.
