My new toy!

I got a new toy for my kitchen! I'm having lots of fun with it!

Last weekend my neighbor had a yard sale. I scored a really great deal. A Williams-Sonoma Paderno Spiralizer! I got it for $3! And in brand new condition, too! Score!

So I've been having lots of fun with the spiralizer. Tonight I spiralized a cucumber. I tried to spiralize carrots, but it didn't work so well. You're better off using the shredder attachment in your food processor for carrots, in my opinion. So the spiralizer doesn't work for every vegetable, obviously.

I put salt and pepper on the cucumber and carrot noodles and let them sit for a while so that the cucumber could release their liquid.

In the meantime, I rinsed a bag of arugula and a can of black olives. I also made salad dressing. I used Extra Virgin Olive Oil (I'm sorry I'm writing so boring, I'm tired), water, apple cider vinegar, herbes de provence, salt & pepper, and Dijon mustard.

I put the arugula in a salad bowl, topped the salad with the cucumber and carrot noodles, put on some olives, and drizzled the vinaigrette all over.

This was good! Now I want to keep on spiralizing vegetables! I think I'll eat nothing but spiralized vegetables for a whole month or more!
